The Samuel King Chapter was organized on April 17, 1976, with 15 members. The first chapter regent was Jacqueline Mellies. The chapter was named for Samuel King, the Revolutionary War ancestor of Mrs. Mellies.

In June 1998, the Samuel King Chapter and the Guthrie Chapter merged, retaining the chapter number from the Guthrie Chapter and the chapter name from Samuel King Chapter. Our membership includes residents of Edmond, Guthrie, and smaller towns in northern Oklahoma County and southern Logan County.

From September through May, our chapter holds monthly daytime meetings as well as several evening meetings. For more information about our chapter, please contact us.
